Rowenna Walker has been appointed Global Service Leader, Rail and Mass Transit at the global engineering and advisory company, Aurecon.
The role will be focused on leading a global team of rail and mass transit specialists to deliver smart, efficient and future-proofed rail solutions across passenger and metro networks, light rail and freight and heavy haul rail.

With over 20 years’ international experience, including as a member of regional executive teams, Rowenna has realised significant success in developing and executing growth strategies for engineering businesses. Some recent projects are Australia’s Australian Rail Track Corporation Inland Rail Project and Transport for New South Wales’ Sydney Light Rail, as well as work in the UK, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
Aurecon’s spokesperson on Women in Leadership, Regional Director Louise Adams, welcomed Rowenna’s appointment, noting her passion and track record for promoting diversity and inclusion in the rail and engineering industries.
