A Spanish company will construct a 100MW Photovoltaic Power Plant in Nigeria, Alfonso Sebastian, the Spanish ambassador to Nigeria has said. He added that the company will only require a piece of land from the state government of Kano to carry on the project.
According to Ambassador Sebastian, Spain has one of the largest gross domestic products in the world and potentially rich in renewable energy sources.In recent years, Spain has shown interest in trade, water supply and technology.
Kano State Government has agreed to offer the land in support of the power plant in Nigeria as well as other resources that will encourage foreign investors to set up manufacturing plants and other infrastructure in the state.
