Egypt’s construction company to wins mega housing complex tender

Egypt’s Orascom Construction’s wholly owned subsidiary, the Weitz Company, is set to build a multimillion dollar student housing complex in the United States of America after winning the tender.

The construction project at Texas A&M University on a 48-acre site in College Station, is estimated to cost $245 million and will accommodate over 3,500 students.

The statement added that the project will have ±1300 units containing studios, four-bedroom houses, world class swimming pools, fitness centres, study and gathering spaces.

In addition, the company said that the complex will include retail and office space, as well as an eight-storey parking garage, adding that it is expected to open before the 2017-18 school year.
