Dangote Foundation to build 500mw Diagnostic Center

The Dangote Group Executive Director, Stakeholders Management and Corporate Communications, Engineer Mansur Ahmed, said the Group has concluded preliminary arrangements to build a multi-million naira 500mw electricity plant for the benefit of the people of Kano and its environs.

Engr. Ahmed said the Dangote Foundation was scaling up its charity works across several African countries and has started deepening its philanthropic gestures in the areas of health and education.

He said the Foundation’s projects in Kano included constructing a Diagnostic Centre at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, building eleven healthcare centres, 200 boreholes and nutrition programmes.

The Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, represented by the Commissioner for Commerce Rabiu Bako, said the state government and KACCIMA were working together to encourage private sector participation to ensure economic development of the state.
