East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC) has teamed up with the Kenya Alliance of Resident Association (KARA) to launch a Resident Dialogue Forum to discuss poor quality construction. The forum aims to raise public awareness of how to prevent poor quality construction and the continued occupation of dangerous buildings.
The talks will be held in eight different counties and bring together various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Nairobi City County Government, National Environment Managament Authority, National Construction Authority, as well as key players in the real estate industry.
Building collapse is a big problem in Kenya and one of the causes is the incorrect mixing of concrete.
