Building on its reputation for providing independent and impartial technical advice, support and training to the construction industry for over 45 years, membership organisation, The Concrete Society, has created a showcase event for those involved in the sphere of concrete.
Evolving Concrete has already garnered the support of institutes and organisations, including IStructE, IoQ, CIAT and IHS. This is an important new event for the concrete sector and just as crucially, it is non-profit – all proceeds go back into services for the industry.
Evolving Concrete will present a series of free technical seminars on current topics for the concrete industry alongside an exhibition of companies, organisations, educational establishments, products and services.
Both seminars and exhibition are aimed directly at the professional: in particular consultants, designers, specifiers, architects, architectural technologists and contractors.
Its focus is the design, construction, technology and use of concrete as a structural material. Among other attractions, Evolving Concrete features a technical advisory café, plus a unique Career Pathway section with contacts from industry partners, universities and career consultants alongside an exhibition of companies, products and services providing the best the concrete industry offers.
Knowledge, in particular sharing knowledge, is fundamental to Evolving Concrete 2015. The exhibition stands and Career Pathway provide excellent opportunities to discuss all aspects of concrete with like-minded professionals.
In addition to this high quality networking experience, attendees can gain insight from industry experts in the seminar programme compiled by the Concrete Society’s technical specialists. There will be around 20 thought-provoking seminars presented across both days of Evolving Concrete 2015. The sessions are free to attend on a first-come first-served basis.
