The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) is on the hunt for a new MD following the resignation of Dr Sean Phillips, effective August 8.
JRA CFO Goodwill Mbatha will assume the role of acting MD until a successor for Phillips, who held the role since May 2016, is appointed.
“The JRA board will be advertising the position of MD as soon as possible,” said chairperson Sipho Tshabalala in a statement on Monday.
Tshabalala commended Phillips’ focus on organisational performance and improvements to service delivery, noting that his expertise in the development of operational systems and procedures had set a solid foundation for a performance-oriented organisation.
“The benefits of his contribution to the JRA will continue to be realised in years to come,” he concluded.
