Lafarge Africa Plc has announced it will soon start construction of 500 housing units in the Federal Capital Territory on a land given by Federal Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in Nigeria.
The cement company would invest in construction of mass affordable houses in Abuja and help the government reduce its housing burden.
An MOU has been signed between the company and the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development said Group MD, Lafarge Africa Plc, Guillaume Roux.
The 500 units to be undertaken under the partnership between Lafarge and Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development will serve as a showcase on how they could “help accelerate and build better housing solutions” according to the Lafarge MD.
