03 November 2015

The 2nd annual Totally Concrete East Africa attracted over 400 participants this year and was rated as an excellent networking opportunity by exhibitors and delegates alike.  Just recently held at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya from 26 to 28 October 2015, this regional event is held annually as part of the global series of African events: African Construction and Totally Concrete Expos.

The event was sponsored by Safal Group, ARM Rhino Cement, Bamburi Cement, Tata Africa and Loesche GmbH and supported by more than 30 media and association partners including Kenya Vision 2030, the National Construction Authority of Kenya and the Kenya Property Developers Association.

Discussions at this year’s Totally Concrete East Africa included applications for conscious architecture, preparation for climate change through the adoption of new technologies and processes, developing high strength concrete, an outlook on major projects such as the Two Rivers Development and the LAPSSET Corridor and a seminar day focused on housing delivery and innovations available for the East African property developer.  “Thank you very much for organising this very enlightening event and giving us the opportunity to present on the work of UN-Habitat as well as the 10YFP,” offers Gregor Herda, Consultant at the Green and Sustainable Housing, Housing and Slum Upgrading Branch of UN-HABITAT in Kenya.
