Cement producer PPC has appointed Darryll Castle an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Castle, who holds BSc, BCom and MBA degrees, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification, has extensive experience in the mining industry and operations and projects experience on the African continent.
“Darryll’s extensive experience and knowledge of various countries in Africa and [other] emerging markets, as well as the deep relationships that he has built over the years will add great value to PPC,” commented PPC chairperson Bheki Sibiya.
The cement producer has embarked on an African expansion strategy under the leadership of PPC International MD Pepe Meijer.
