Cement producer PPC is still considering the proposed merger deal with fellow JSE-listed construction materials firm AfriSam.
AfriSam in December made a conditional, nonbinding proposal to merge the two companies.
PPC reiterated on Tuesday that it would make further announcements once it had concluded its review of the proposed merger.
