International Consulting Engineering Company Royal HaskoningDHV has appointed Salani Sithole as MD for its South African operations from 1 March 2015. With his wide spectrum of knowledge and experience, as well as his thorough understanding of the company, Sithole is well placed to further develop the South African operations.
Prior to joining Royal HaskoningDHV, Sithole held various positions in a broad range of fields, including engineering consulting, municipal, power and rail engineering as well as business development.
He was a senior manager in PRASA, Transnet, Eskom and the City of Johannesburg.
Sithole holds a number of other positions; he is vice-chairperson for Southern African Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (SANEC South Africa); Chairperson for the Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) Transport Liaison Committee and board member for the Private Civil Engineering Testing Laboratory (Civilab).
