One million euro was collected for the construction of 30 schools for Syrian refugees in Jordan and for the realization of Hope Village in Somalia. With great determination and charisma, Sharon Stone, Ambassador for the Pilosio Building Peace Award, created an extraordinary atmosphere of real solidarity around herself during the exclusive cocktail dinner held at Palazzo Clerici in Milan during the evening event: both prominent businessmen as well as the important guests present joined in supporting the project RE: BUILD designed by Pilosio Building Peace.
In particular, among the donors the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi will donate funds for the construction of as many as 20 schools; three major Italian Canadian building constructors and Claudio Tesauro, President of Save the Children Italy, will personally contribute to the construction of one school.
On the evening of Pilosio Building Peace Award 2015, Giuseppe Sala, sole commissioner Government Representative for Expo Milano 2015 also announced the donation of furniture and computers for the schools.
