Hanlie Turner is a well-established woman in a male-dominated construction industry. Even though she strongly believes that women should not be treated differently than men, she acknowledges the fact that women – faced with different challenges – sometimes do need that little ‘extra’ recognition which helps them feel energised and valued.

The TotallyConcrete Expo in conjunction with the African Construction Expo presents the 2nd annual Women in Construction Excellence Awards to be hosted on Wednesday, 28 May 2014 at 10:00 am.
Now in their second year, the awards celebrate the expanded role of women and to drive diversity in the construction industry. They honour women who have pioneered the development of the African built environment and recognise the emerging leaders of the industry.
