The English Point Marina resort situated at the Kenyan Coast has officially been opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The newly launched Marina constitutes of a 26-room hotel, conferencing facility, a roof-top restaurant, a casino, swimming pool, 96 serviced apartments – including 8 penthouses – seafront restaurant, gym and spa, as well as a boardwalk with retail outlets, water-sports centre and fully-serviced 88-berth marina.
The multi-million dollar marina resort will definitely boost the economy of the country as it will put Kenya on the map of the luxury yacht market and the investment is set to open up Kenya to high-end international ocean travellers.
Kenya’s coastal tourism sector has continued to see a rise in numbers as six cruise ships arrived in Mombasa with more than 3,000 tourists and crew during the December holidays.
