Road construction in Eldoret, Kenya: a new dual carriage road will link Eldoret town to Eldoret International Airport
Eldoret is set for an infrastructural change with construction of a US$ 90m dual carriage road. Members of the County Assembly in Uasin Gishu County approved the project, which is expected to commence as soon as the survey currently being done, is complete.
The 25-km road will link Eldoret town to Eldoret International Airport.
The County’s Governor, Jackson Mandago also added that two by-passes will also be constructed in the town.
This is a move set to increase traffic flow and also improve the country’s rate of development. Residents living along the southern by-pass are going to be compensated by the Kenya Highway’s authority to enable construction works that are to kick off by the end of the year.
The road construction project will be funded by the national government, along with the support of the county government.
