Over 40 finalists have been selected in the Women in Construction Awards (WICA) and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 24 May 2017 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The Awards celebrate the achievements of women within Africa’s construction, cement and concrete sectors in addition to recognising organisations that support and contribute to their development in the industry.
“WICA is segmented into eight categories to cater for female contribution across the broad construction industry spectrum,” says Awards Director, Athi Myoli. “The sheer number of nominations received from around the African continent has been overwhelming and this positive response is testimony to the many successes in the industry deserving recognition.”

Minister of Women in the Presidency, Susan Shabangu, will be delivering the closing address at the event which is co-located with the African Construction and Totally Concrete Expo.
