Women in construction who ‘persevere should be recognised’

26 February 2014

Nigerian-based Professor Danladi Slim Matawal is on the judging panel for the annual Women in Construction Excellence Awards. He calls on people all around Africa to nominate women in construction to ensure that there is a wide spectrum of women from various backgrounds. Nominees can expect to be judged on their ability to persevere against male workplace domination, who are team workers and have risen to the top against all challenges.

The TotallyConcrete Expo in conjunction with the African Construction Expo presents the 2nd annual Women in Construction Excellence Awards to be hosted on Wednesday, 28 May 2014 at 10:00 am.

Now in their second year, the awards celebrate the expanded role of women and to drive diversity in the construction industry. They honour women who have pioneered the development of the African built environment and recognise the emerging leaders of the industry.
