RUDY RICCIOTTI, SPONSOR OF WORLD OF CONCRETE EUROPE
This inaugural session of WOC Europe will be held under the patronage of Rudy RICCIOTTI, the renowned architect and general contractor of a great many iconic sites which have highlighted the many assets of concrete. As a pioneer and an ambassador for concrete, he provides a savvy mix of creative clout and a genuine construction culture.

As sponsor of WOC Europe, Rudy RICCIOTTI will present his most noteworthy projects at an inaugural presentation on 21 April 2015 and as part of a meeting with the French and international media. He will also take part in the official guided tour of the show in the presence of its director Maryvonne Lanoë, and will also attend the opening cocktail reception in the presence of partners, journalists and special guests.

A CONCRETE-SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME
A large number of talks and workshops devoted to concrete will examine technical innovation and processes to help deliver truly exceptional concrete works. Four major themes will be covered: concrete fundamentals, special concretes, maintenance and repair, demolition and recycling.

INTERMAT INNOVATION AWARDS, WORLD OF CONCRETE AWARD
At the INTERMAT Innovation Awards gala event, the World of Concrete Award was made by Tom Cindric, Vice President of Informa Exhibitions (the organiser of World of Concrete Las Vegas), to the firm Tekla. The award winner was congratulated for its Tekla Structures Construction Modelling solution, a package aimed at all concrete contractors which facilitates the design, estimation, management and planning of all types of project from a 3D BIM model.

A ONE-OFF EXHIBITION: “30 YEARS OF THE EQUERRE D’ARGENT”
WOC Europe will also play host to an exhibition portraying all of the buildings distinguished by the Equerre d’Argent award between 1983 and 2013. This most prestigious architecture prize is awarded annually to a building erected in France, irrespective of its architect’s nationality. The exhibition is thus an abstract of French architecture over the past three decades, from the most prestigious works (Picasso museum, Institute du Monde Arabe, Cité de la Musique, etc.) to municipal buildings (kindergartens, car parks, media libraries, schools, gymnasiums, etc.) and housing.
