Cement production in Zambia is expected to reach above 2.5 million tonnes per annum when Dangote Limited commissions its cement factory in Ndola at a cost of US$400 million this year, writes Lusaka Times.
The Dangote Cement plant is expected to produce between one million and 1.2 million tonnes of cement per annum.
The opening of this cement factory will create over much needed jobs and it is reported that this will ‘open up room’ for others to follow in the country. Dangote certainly seems to continue making a stamp across Africa.
