The Green Building Council Convention was the venue for the launch of the new Green Star SA Existing Building Performance Tool. The tool aims to assess and certify an existing building’s performance while in operation. GBCSA appointed Royal HaskoningDHV in April 2013 as Lead Technical Consultant to develop the tool, intended to influence a new segment of the South African property market – building owners and facility managers. 50 buildings will be selected in the pilot phase of the tool application to run in 2014.
