Captains of Construction is a special forum for high-level decision makers and stakeholders, in the public and private sector, to engage and discuss key issues in infrastructure development and construction in South Africa. At the core, this special forum seeks to promote growth in industry, through the collaboration of different stakeholders across the board.
Captains of Construction offers the public sector the platform to discuss their development plans and requirements for delivery with private participants. It will also gives the public sector a chance to address the concerns of the private sector and balance industry expectations.
Private sector participants will have the opportunity to personally engage with policy makers and pose the questions that will allow them to determine their future path in the industry. Private participants will also gain a better understanding of the regulatory environment within which they are operating and how they can adapt to ensure that their full potential is met.
This is a high-level, invitation only event, intended for ministers, association representatives and C-span executives. No other event in Africa will bring together more key industry players and we are pleased to invite you to our forum.
The Forum will also serve as a launchpad for the Captains of Construction Leaders Book; ‘100 People at the Steer of Infrastructure Development in Southern Africa’, a book showcasing South Africa’s most influential figures that are driving infrastructure development and construction in the country and region.
Not only will this prestigious feature serve as the definitive guide to the industry for 2015/2016, but also give insight as to where industry leaders believe the country and continent is headed.
The Captains of Construction special forum will be held on 13 May and is co-located with African Construction and Totally Concrete Expos hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre from 12-14 May. Totally Concrete and African Construction Expos aim to address Africa’s infrastructure deficit and ensure sustainable infrastructure development and economic growth across the sub-Saharan region for 2015 and beyond. This year the African Construction and Totally Concrete Expos are expected to see more than 6000 attendees from over 1000 companies cross its threshold.
