31 March 2015

Ian Buchanan is a Director of Royal Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd, a company which has been engaged in the construction of concrete floors, roads and hardstands for over 40 years. He has collaborated with both the Concrete Institute and the Concrete Society of Southern Africa to promote a better understanding of sound specifications and construction methodologies applicable to industrial concrete floor construction.

In 1993, he established a close association with the U.K. based CoGri Group which has an internationally recognized and unrivalled reputation for the development and operation of precision floor level and flatness measuring instruments. Without data from these instruments, modern sophisticated materials handling systems cannot function safely or efficiently in warehouses. His company also has access through the GoGri Group to laser grinders for remediation of VNA installations.

Ian was a presenter at the 2014 Totally Concrete Expo, in this presentation he shares his expertise on how to measure and understand tolerance for industrial concrete floors.
