The Concrete Society of Southern Africa recently held a unique seminar titled ‘ConSem 2014’ focusing on ‘materials for modern concrete’. It offered a great opportunity for delegates to up-date themselves on the latest materials, specifications, research and practice in concrete, presented by industry specialists in their field.
Delegates learnt about the challenges in selecting materials from the vast range of options now available and good advice on how to specify, design and/or produce the best concrete for the application in hand.
