Concrete.TV spoke to Keamogetswe Mmekwa, Structural Design Engineer for PH Bagale and South Gauteng Branch Chairperson of CESA Young Professionals Forum about the importance of having a young arm of CESA.
CESA – ‘the voice of the engineers’ – established their youth league in 2004 to address issue like lack of knowledge transfer between the old and young generation or young people leaving the industry for more lucrative industries such as the banking, finance or legal industries. Apart from networking, the YPF also runs initiatives like the annual job shadowing initiative where learners can have a first glimpse at the engineers profession.
