Since the inception of the African Construction and Totally Concrete Expo The Concrete Institute has showed its support for the leading concrete show in Africa.
The Concrete Institute is a non-profit organisation that provides a comprehensive range of technical services in concrete to the construction industry through education, information and technical advisory services.
The Concrete Institute’s participation at this year’s event sees the Institute’s Managing Director, Bryan Perrie, give a conference presentation on the Sustainability of concrete roads on 11 May 2016 at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa.
This is a presentation not to be missed. Perrie started his career contracting throughout Southern Africa. He has headed a Concrete Roads Project aimed at increasing the use of concrete pavements in South Africa.
He has both a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from Wits and is a Registered Professional Engineer. He has authored a number of books on Concrete Floors and Concrete Roads and sections of “Fulton’s Concrete Technology” and a number of papers for publication and presentation at local and overseas seminars, conferences and symposia.
Furthermore, The Institute’s Structural Focus Manager, Gary Theodosiou, lends his expertise to the African Construction and Totally Concrete conference by shaping the programme agenda as an advisory board member. Theodosiou has 17 years’ experience in structural concrete, steel and timber design.
African Construction and Totally Concrete exhibition visitors and conference delegates will be fortunate enough to visit The Concrete Institute booth on 10 – 11 May 2016 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
