The Captains of Construction Leadership Forum held at the Sandton Convention Centre on the 13th May, was an exclusive and high-level event that provided major stakeholders in the Southern African infrastructure and construction industry, a platform to discuss the most prevalent issues in this space.
The forum was moderated by Max du Preez and chaired by David Humphrey, Global Head of Power and Infrastructure from Standard Bank, the official sponsor. With an impressive line-up of speakers and panellists and a key note address from Mo Shaik, GE: International Finance of the Development Bank of South Africa, the forum was well received. The forum provided an economically viable role in enhancing efficiency in the conceptualisation and delivery of infrastructure projects.
Business Day’s Mark Allix reported on the event stating that the representatives in attendance lamented poor business operating conditions within South Africa’s infrastructure environment.
The event was also used as an opportunity to launch Hypenica’s inaugural Captains of Construction Leadership book, a quality selection of high calibre leaders within the industry.
