World-first…an algae-powered building!

The first algae-powered building has been built in Hamburg, Germany. It has a “bioreactor façade” mounted as a kind of second skin onto the building. When the algae grows it will then be harvested and turned into a biofuel-like pulp used to create energy to run the building.
